Interrater Reliability of the Test of Gross Motor Development—Third Edition Following Raters’ Agreement on Measurement Criteria

We aimed to calculate interrater reliability of the Test Gross Motor Development—Third Edition (TGMD-3) after raters reached a consensus regarding measurement criteria. Three measured fundamental movement skills 25 children on TGMD-3 at two different times: (a) once when simply following criteria in manual and (b) 9-month washout period, raters’ building for each skill. After calculating comparing these three across rating times, we found improved consensus-building discussions ratings both locomotor (moderate-to-good six initially least moderate-to-excellent four building) ball one seven building). For subtest scores overall test scores, achieved moderate-to-good their second, postconsensus-building ratings. Based this building, recommend that researchers include rater before assessing children’s or guiding curriculum interventions physical education from data.
